Rural Landscape Conserved as Fulbeck Wind Farm Planning Application Refused

Some of you may have forgotten about the application that was made by Energiekontor UK Ltd for 10 x 110m wind turbines to South Kesteven District Council, back in August of 2015.  South Kesteven officially refused the application on 31st March 2017.   Energiekontor UK Ltd has 6 months to lodge an appeal.  Full details of the decision can be found by clicking <here> which will take you to the South Kesteven website.

You may have noticed the 3 wind turbines that were recently erected to the South West of Barnby near to the old refuse site at Hawton.  These turbines are 126m in height but are a little further away.  This is the same height as was originally planned for the Fulbeck airfield site, but later reduced by 16m to 110m due to radar interference objections from the nearby RAF base.

Let’s hope that Energiekontor UK Ltd decides not to appeal and we can all continue to enjoy and conserve the wonderful unspoilt rural countryside landscape we have, particuarly to the East of us here in Barnby.
